Fattoria di Presciano is a reality already in the 19th century when it was a part of a wider estate belonging to Serristori household. Over the centuries the farm met some changes, still no one was radical. On the whole, his structure and cellars kept their own basic characteristics until the 1930, when they underwent the first restoration. Pasquale Cometti's family, owner and oenologist, has grown vines and made wine for generations. In order to make the quality higher and higher, the farm is getting better every part: the vineyards, the cellars, even the customer service. Fattoria di Presciano is about 320 acres (130 hectares) wide. It is located on a lush and fertile dale, which has its own axis east-west oriented. The Low Road runs into the dale and joins the valley of Arno river to the country around Siena. It was the best way for soldiers when they were at peace and there was not danger to fall into an enemy attack. Vineyards are about 30 hectares of the whole estate. They feed grapes Sangiovese, Merlot, Ciliegiolo, Canaiolo and other species of vines that are under test.
