Montecariano

Włochy

Verona

Montecariano’s winery owned by the family Gini-Galtarossa covers 27 hectares of land in the southern region of the hills which seperate the valley of Fumane from Marano in Valpolicella area in Verona’s Province.

Montecariano is set in a hilly natural area which gives the idea of being “a centre of energy”.

Here the wind blows softly. The finding of a large stones surrounded by olive trees takes us directly back to a time in which rustic habits were celebrated.

Here the earth has ancient furrows. It generates vines, and gives life to grapes. It favours the ritual of the grape harvest. The area to the south of San Pietro In Cariano is a part of this ancient land, where the wine company Montecariano is located. Whilst planting the vines numerous Roman ruins were uncovered, traces of a distant time, from where the slow but punctual miracle of wine begins.

Since 1992, the year in which the company was bought, the present owners have concentrated the quality of the products on the conversion of the vines to the newest methods.
